About the event

This months Mac group will be held on Wednesday 15th March from 1.30pm in Rooms 2, 3 and 4 on the fifth floor at MEA House.

Our speaker this month is Hazel Hyland who is the Community Connection Coordinator for the RNIB in the North East. She will be chatting about her role and the services that the RNIB offer.

Subsidised taxis are available for £6.00 per journey and refreshments will be available as usual.

The speaker this month is Gordon Norrie from Dogs Trust. He will be discussing the past, present and future of Dogs Trust and bringing along a one of the dogs to meet everyone.

The next meeting of the Mac Group will be Wednesday 17^th May at 1.30pm. Our guest speaker this month is Judith Potts who is the founder of Esme’s Umbrella. She will be discussing the charity and the work that they carry out.

Esme’s Umbrella is a charity which raises awareness for Charles Bonnet Syndrome (CBS). They host a website, a helpline and provide an information pack which includes an explanation of CBS, coping strategies, current research and how to access support for people who develop CBS - and their families.

Please note that Judith will be joining us via video call which will be projected on to the wall.
