CU Wednesday Group Visit Magic Hat Café

Yesterday, our CU Wednesday group had a lovely afternoon at The Magic Hat Café, Newcastle. The café is just down the street from our office. They aim to reduce food waste by rescuing surplus food from landfill and repurposing it through their kitchen.

The group thoroughly enjoyed their afternoon out and their tasty food and beverages at the Magic Hat.
Remember our CU Wednesday group runs on the third Wednesday of every month! The next meeting will take place on Wednesday 19th February. Please give the office a call on 0191 232 7292 if you would like to attend.

Below are some pictures of the group on their outing. Alt text is available.

This image shows two men sat at a table, looking happy, with plates of food in front of them. One plate of food is a bowl of braised beef with carrots, rice and peppers. The other plate is carrot cake with toffee sauce and fudge pieces.

The image shows some of the food which was available at the café. It is a potato soup with goat labneh, which is a form of yoghurt made from goats cheese. The soup was served with a slice of toasted bread.

The image shows a meal which was available from the café. It is as bowl of braised beef which is in a brown sauce on a bed of white rice. The meal has been served with sliced carrot and marinated peppers.
