Our Walking Group meets fortnightly on a Thursday morning. The next walk will be on Thursday 24th September at 10.30am.
We will be meeting outside of Jesmond Metro Station at 10.30am, getting the Metro to Whitley Bay and walking to Cullercoats. We will be stopping at Cullercoats for a refreshment break for a coffee before getting the metro from Cullercoats back to Jesmond.

Heather was the manager of Newcastle Vision Support for many years, when it was formally known as Newcastle Society for Blind People. Heather also played a vital role in fundraising for the charity and ran our popular Mac group. We have spaces available for Classical Music performances at the Lit and Phil Library in Newcastle City Centre. The performances run on select Fridays from 1pm until 2pm. We will be meeting at 12.30pm for optional refreshments before the performance. The performance lasts 1 hour from 1pm until 2pm.

Our Walking Group meets fortnightly on a Thursday morning. The next walk will be on Thursday 13th August at 10.30am.
The group will be meeting at Jesmond Dene outside of Pets Corner (NE7 7BQ), they will then walk through the Dene, to the waterfall and head back to the café at Pets Corner where they will end the walk with a well deserved refreshment.

Introducing our new NVS Lunch Club!
Join us on the first Wednesday of every month for good food and great company. Our first lunch club will take place on Wednesday 2nd September.
We will be going to Rudy's Pizza on Grey Street in Newcastle upon Tyne.
If you would like to walk to the venue with members of NVS Staff please meet at NVS office at 12.30pm. Alternatively, you can meet us at the venue at 1pm. Members of staff will be present throughout the meal.
Please note: Everyone will need to pay for their own meal. No taxis are provided, so please make your own travel arrangements.
It’s a lovely chance to get out, enjoy some good food, good company and have a chat!

Lit and Phil Library, 23 Westgate Rd, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 1SE
We have spaces available for Classical Music performances at the Lit and Phil Library in Newcastle City Centre. The performances run on select Fridays from 1pm until 2pm. We will be meeting at 12.30pm for optional refreshments before the performance. The performance lasts 1 hour from 1pm until 2pm.
The performance on Friday 14th August will be John Garner (violin) & Adam Johnson (piano). For further information about the performance please click here .
The concerts are free to attend. Places are on a first come first served basis. Please contact the office on 0191 232 7292 to book a space. We can also offer subsidised taxis for paid-up members both to and from the venue. Members of staff from Newcastle Vision Support will be there to support any attendees.

Our Chair Based Yoga class focuses on relaxation and stress management. This group is suitable for all abilities. It is chair-based yoga (no need for leotards and no rolling around on the floor!). This group runs during term time only and there is a £35.00 fee for each term (10 weeks). This payment covers the cost of employing qualified instructor – no money comes to Newcastle Vision Support.
