Our chair exercise group meet every Tuesday from 12.30pm until 1.30pm. It is designed especially for people with sight loss and aims to keep you fit and improve your mobility but most importantly have a good time.
The group is led by a fully qualified instructor.

Our Chair Based Yoga class focuses on relaxation and stress management. This group is suitable for all abilities. It is chair-based yoga (no need for leotards and no rolling around on the floor!). This group runs during term time only and there is a £35.00 fee for each term (10 weeks). This payment covers the cost of employing qualified instructor – no money comes to Newcastle Vision Support.

Our CU Wednesday Group this month will take place on Wednesday 21st January. This month our guest speaker is Heather Niven. Heather was the manager of Newcastle Vision Support for many years, when it was formally known as Newcastle Society for Blind People. Heather also played a vital role in fundraising for the charity and ran our popular Mac group. Heather will be speaking about her time at Newcastle Vision Support, the Sensory Garden and Bobby Robson.
The meeting will take place in the activity room located within our office at Northumberland House. As always we will provide some light refreshments. Please let us know if you are able to attend by calling 0191 232 7292..

Our Knit and Natter group runs every Thursday from 1.30pm until 3.15pm. This is a support group where individuals get together for a chat over a cup of tea. They occasionally bring their handicrafts and knitting along to do whilst they are there.
