IT Support

What we offer

We offer support to visually impaired people living in Newcastle on IT issues relating to their visual impairment.

We are a part time service so there may be a waiting list. We shall try to give you an idea of how long you will have to wait for a service if there is a waiting list.

We are not IT professionals but we are experienced in dealing with visually impaired people and so we try to understand what people want from the service from a visually impaired perspective.

These are the ways we can support you.

Home learning and support

  • Learn on your own machine in the comfort of your own home
  • We can also try and help on issues to do with hardware and software e.g. getting to know the accessibility features of Windows 10
  • Generally we can offer up to six sessions though we appreciate some people may need more.
